ORIGIN OF GANANDA

The name Gananda derives from the name Sigananda kaZokufa Shezi, a legendary Zulu military general who lived to the ripe old age of about 92 years old during the period ca. 1815 to 1906. He served under four Zulu kings namely Shaka, Dingaan, Mpande and Cetshwayo. Sigananda was well liked and respected by his people and had a reputation for being highly trustworthy, fiercely loyal and a strong leader. Both Inkosi Sigananda and King Cetshwayo were well known by Barry’s Great-Great Grandfather Alfred Adams and his son Charlie Adams. Charlie was nicknamed from a young age “Gananda” by the Zulu people for sharing the same traits of trustworthiness, honour and reliability. The name has stuck and been used in the family ever since.

Client Testimonials

“We’ve been very happy with the work Barry and Johan have done, it’s been very helpful and the analysis done has been great in supporting our decision making process. Our management team was amazed at the number of potential funders that they got interested in our project”.
Rodney Green, Project MALACHITE
“I’ve been superbly impressed with Barry, James and the Mazars team for the quality of work they have done. I would not have thought of Mazars for advisory services but am definitely an advocate now. They provide a much more tailored service and the Investment Memorandum was brilliant. I’ve been involved in many of these processes before and often done the work myself. I was superbly impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to provide a reference”
Trevor Williams, Project HUSH
